The Role
Duskbloom Media is seeking 4–6 Contributing Writers to join Duskbloom Discovery, our editorial publication focused on science, curiosity, culture, and thoughtful explanation. This is a remote, unpaid contributor role designed for writers who want to publish high-quality work in a curated, professional editorial environment.
Contributors will write original articles under their own byline and retain full rights to their work. This role is ideal for emerging writers, graduate students, researchers, educators, and independent thinkers looking to build a visible body of published writing.
What You’ll Do
- Write original long-form or medium-form articles aligned with Duskbloom Discovery’s editorial focus.
- Pitch article ideas or respond to editorial themes when available.
- Collaborate with editors to refine structure, clarity, and accuracy.
- Contribute on a flexible schedule (typically 1–2 pieces per month).
What We’re Looking For
- Strong writing skills with a clear, engaging voice.
- Interest in science, discovery, culture, or research-informed topics.
- Ability to explain ideas clearly to a general but curious audience.
- Reliability and openness to editorial feedback.
- Prior publishing experience is welcome but not required.
Compensation & Rights
This is an unpaid contributor position.
- Writers receive full byline credit on all published work.
- Each contributor will have an author profile page with bio and links.
- Contributors retain full rights to their work and may republish elsewhere with attribution.
- Articles will be professionally edited, designed, and promoted through Duskbloom Media channels.
